Concluding your visit to the Acropolis it is a short walk (5-10 minutes, downhill) to the Acropolis Museum. Opened in 2009, the new museum looks on to the Acropolis and features amazing displays. The artifacts are situated in such a way so as that the guests can actually understand and envision what the Parthenon actually looked like in antiquity. Best trip ever!
We had the best trip ever to Greece with Troy Tours. Our tour director, Vasilis P., was incredible and truly made it a trip of a lifetime that we will never forget. We toured Athens, Mykonos, and Santorini. I believe Santorini may be the most beautiful place I have ever seen. Troy made everything so simple and easy for someone who had never been to Greece or Europe before. Cannot wait for our next tour. Already in the planning stages
Troy Tours Classic France
This was a fabulous day out. My wife and I chose this because it was a full day shared tour and within our budget. We opted for the US Beaches tour, although we would have taken the Allied Triangle Tour if it had been available. My wife is English, I am American, so we had to settle on one sector. So much to see these days and according to our guide you can easily spend a full WEEK on the beaches! It turned out to be the perfect day out. We had great weather, a great guide, Iain, and a spacious and comfy van with just 7 of us onboard. Iain is from the UK but told my wife he’s lived all over the world (has been a teacher, IT guy, truck driver and now runs his own tour company). At university he majored in modern languages with education and WW2 History. He actually tours in different languages (5!), and told Julie, my wife, that he is also a certified french guide which lets him jump on and off tour coaches for big tour companies just to keep his languages current. This man really is a ‘historian’ in the true sense of the word. As a D-Day guide he REALLY was in a class of his own. You can tell he’s a born teacher too, so many stories… He truly brought the entire history to life for us and was extremely passionate as well as knowledgeable. He is also incredibly friendly, patient, considerate of everyone’s needs and helpful to the max. With just 7 people in the minivan he went out of his way to make sure everyone was happy with their day. I would highly recommend Iain in a heartbeat and Normandyontour to anyone looking for something a bit ‘special’.a

Classic Greece – Amazing Trip
Sep 2025
It’s such a great tour to get a comprehensive look at Greek history and mythology. Tour director, Aspesia, wove a tale of the Greek culture while visiting all the historical sites. I didn’t feel rushed or overwhelmed by the pace of the tour. All the hotels had great locations where we were visiting and great amenities. I highly recommend this tour for someone who wants to see real Greece. Also, shout out to all my tour friends. You made the tour fun. Enjoyed traveling with you
