The present city is characteristic of a fortified town dating from the Ottoman 18th and 19th centuries. Acre preserves substantial remains of its medieval Crusader buildings beneath the existing Moslem fortified town dating from the 18th and 19th centuries. The remains of the Crusader town of Acre, both above and below the present-day street level, provide an exceptional picture of the layout and structures of the capital of the medieval Crusader Kingdom of Jerusalem. Present-day Acre is an important example of an Ottoman walled town, with typical urban components such as the citadel, mosques, khans, and baths well preserved, partly built on top of the underlying Crusader structures. The Most Wallet-friendly Escorted Tour to Israel As our 8 Days/6 Nights Classic Israel Tour with Troy Tours progressed, there was no doubt in my mind that my family snatched the best priced tour in Israel from the United States. The whole package seemed too good to be true, but I had traveled with Troy Tours before, so I knew they would deliver. They delivered excellently. Our party of 3 arrived a day late due to a snow storm in the East Coast. A Troy Tour representative picked us up at the airport and drove 2 hours to bring us to our tour group who already had a full day of sightseeing. Our tour guide, Ofra, was waiting for us outside our kibbutz cottage at 9 o’clock at night. She had packed dinner waiting for us. I knew then that despite the rocky start, we were going to have a great time in Israel. We had a nice tour group of 31 people coming from Canada, California, Connecticut, New York, Pennsylvania, and Washington. Our tour guide, Ofra, is a fountain of knowledge, and our driver, Wahid, is very skillful. I loved that both daily breakfast and dinner were included in the tour package. It was fun to taste classic dishes popular in Israel. I especially loved the food in Degania Bet, the kibbutz we stayed at. They were my favorite, especially the shakshouka. I will try to recreate the dish in my kitchen! The food in Jerusalem Gold Hotel were not bad either. They were both kosher and tasty. Most of all, this inclusion saved us a lot of money. Meals in Israel are pricey. The places we visited filled me with awe and joy. We went to the various religious places I wanted to visit, and more. Going to Masada is a must. The World Heritage Site is literally and metaphorically, breathtaking. Visiting Israel has been on my bucket list for a long time, and I was ecstatic to fulfill it. I am very satisfied I accomplished this with Troy Tours. Those planning to take an escorted tour to Israel may want to consider Troy Tours. They offer the most wallet-friendly package available. I am confident you will enjoy it as much as my tour group did. Date of experience: February 2023
The week spent went by seamlessly. The guide was engaging and discussed, not just presented, information as we traveled. The places visited were well planned and exceeded expectations at time
Classic Israel – Mar 2023 While this was not my first trip to Israel, it was unlike any prior trip due to the itinerary selected by TROY and the phenomenal guidance from our tour guide, Avi. Avi has an encyclopedic knowledge of Israel, is enthusiastic, engaging, and made the trip a once-in-a-lifetime experience. He truly made us feel like family. We cannot wait to return! Behind the scenes, Melissa made sure that all the logistics were taken care of with perfect precision. Thank you both from the bottom of our hearts!
Amongst the packing, weighing, and pondering I want to extend my sincere appreciation to you for all of your support. This adventure is a childhood dream come true, the likes of which, is equally foreign to me. It is difficult to admit, but six months ago I didn’t even know what cargo pants were. I know the “foreign” part has, at times, left me anxious, confused, and frustrated. And yet, your steady guidance has remained consistent and I am immensely grateful to you for that. You never made me feel as if my questions were irrelevant …… OMGosh thank you so much for that Natalie. You are a credit to your profession and I am grateful you have guided me through this process.
It is well-planned It is well-planned, and the route is very organized. The tour Guide & driver are both very professional, courteous, and knowledgeable.
