It offers you beauty and peace, even a certain degree of elegance. The grounds are extensive, but they make you feel you own the place by yourself. Set in a remote rural village, it is only ten minutes from Ephesus, one of Turkey's top tourist destinations. It probably serves the best food within 100 miles, though you'd think it is mom and pop cooking. It has the most intricately detailed decor of any hotel in the country, yet it all feels perfectly spontaneous and casual.

Its doors are open to anyone who dreams of getting lost in a fairytale land dating back hundreds of years or hear the whispers of history in the underground tunnels that connect the hotel residences.
Istanbul – Shangri-La

An enchanting retreat in the Capital of Empires The spice-scented bazaars of Istanbul have enraptured you. For long moments, you have lost yourself in the intricate patterns gracing the soaring dome of Hagia Sophia. With the morning's memories glowing in your mind, you return to the embrace of Shangri-La Bosphorus, Istanbul. You are greeted, as always, by warm and attentive service. The feeling of enchanting hospitality continues when you open the door to your immaculate suite. Excellent tour! We were on “Highlights of Turkey” tour. It was a quick 9 day tour. We visited Istanbul, Ephesus, and the amazing Cappadocia. Accommodations, tours, transfers were all planned carefully. We would like to thank you Troy Tours for all the arrangements.

Your choice of hotels -- especially in Istanbul -- was outstanding (Hotellino). Your choice of guides (Fatma) was really really terrific and efficient. And Turkish Airlines is now my number one choice of carriers. We were very pleased with our Groupon. One thing you probably should include in any future advertisements: dinner and breakfast is included in Kusadasi and breakfast is included in Istanbul. I know it is on the itininary, but I didn't remember seeing it in the original ad for Groupon that I purchased. Thank you so much for all your help. 5 stars for Troy Tours. Barbara Canetti

Troy satisfied all of my expectations and more! I used Troy Tours for a 10-day tour around Turkey and was by far the most un-stressful, carefree, and fun vacation I've ever had. It wasn't too expensive either! I would recommend Troy to all my friends and family! I will definitely use them again for future touring Turkey :)

Classic Turkey Tour It was fantastic!!! Everything went smoothly and even when it didn't (no luggage in Istanbul until the next day, late flights, etc...) our group just made it work. It is a wonderful group of women that I am able to travel with all the time. We just "roll with" whatever happens. The guide, Mansur, was very knowledgeable. And the other people on the trip were so nice and lots of fun. The scenery and ruins in Cappadocia are spectacular. And the weather was perfect. We enjoyed the extra day in Istanbul. All in all, it was another great Troy Tours’ tour. Thanks for all of your help and patience in setting it up for us. It was very appreciated.

Just returned from our 10 day Highlights of Turkey tour through Troy Toursl. This was our first escorted trip, and overall we were very pleased. It was nice having someone else deal with the luggage, the hotel accommodations, and getting us from city to city. Our guide, Serkan, possessed a dry wit and a wealth of knowledge. He was very informed regarding every destination that we visited, and his demeanor was quite amusing. I only wish that the itinerary was perfectly balanced. We had a leisure day own in Istanbul to explore. All sightseeing was included including the entrance fees. We did not have to worry about that. We flew Turkish Airlines nonstop from Los Angeles round-trip, and were pleasantly surprised when we were upgraded to business class on our return back to the United States. The service through this airline was impeccable, and they really made us feel appreciated as passengers. We will probably do another Troy Tours trip again in the future, but perhaps Blue Cruise alone Turkish Coast.

We had an absolutely wonderful time. The great experience started when we booked the trip - the Troy Tours staff were very helpful on the phone, and even helped us get in contact with the tour operator in Istanbul late on a Sunday afternoon. The tour group was small and the service was very personal. The accommodations were great and we only spent one night in a "tourist mill" hotel; every other hotel was charming. Our tour guide picked great places for us to sample local cuisine each day at lunch. I honestly can't say enough good things about the tour. We will ABSOLUTELY use Troy Tours in the future

Our "Highlights of Turkey" tour through Troy Tours was very good. All transfers and transport went off without hitch. All 3 local tour guides were on time, knowledgeable and flexible. The restaurants that each guide took us to were great examples of Turkish cuisine. We enjoyed the 3 hotels included in the package, each for different reasons, but the Gamirasu Cave Hotel alone was worth the cost of the trip! The only area for improvement was our correspondence with Can Cetin, our contact person. When we realized that one round trip flight within Turkey was missing from our documents, we attempted to get that last piece of information from Can, but it took several emails from both parties traveling before he finally sent us our flight information. Apparently providing flight numbers to their clients is "outside of their normal operations". Visited September 2012
